Brazil’s Olympic team held their practice session with headlights of a lorry on Monday ahead of Thursday’s friendly against Nigeria
Brazil’s U23 national team were forced to train with headlights of a lorry after their training ground’s floodlights went out on Monday.
According to Reuters, the floodlights at the Engenheiro Araripe stadium, training ground of the team which failed had the team officials seeking alternative from a truck.
The truck was parked beside the training ground will its headlights on to allow the Rio 2016 Olympic hosts train. The 15,000 seater capacity stadium in Caricica, is the home ground of Brazil’s Desportiva Ferroviaria built in 1966 hosted no game during the 2013 Confederation Cup and 2014 World Cup.
The Brazil’s Olympic team are preparing for Thursday’s friendly against Nigeria’s Dream Team scheduled to take place at the Espirito Santo Stadium.
After missing out on the 2014 World Cup title, Brazil will look up to Barcelona’s Rafinha Alcantara, Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira, Lazio’s Felipe Anderson to win their first Olympic gold in August in Rio de Janeiro.
